Synergy Resource Center is staffed with professional, licensed clinicians, with small caseloads to allow for individualized attention and detailed treatment plans to meet each client’s specific needs and ensure you get the care you deserve.
While the primary focus is substance abuse treatment, mental health needs are also addressed as co-occurring disorders are prevalent among people struggling with addiction. A registered nurse will provide initial health assessments, health education including medicated assisted treatment options, will coordinate necessary referrals and medical appointments, and will be responsible for monitoring and distributing prescribed medications.
Individualized Treatment & Small Case Loads
Paige Tuck is the Executive Director at Synergy Recovery Center. Paige has her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Recognized Associate Substance Abuse Counselor. She has experience working with women in addiction and mental health and has a background in the legal and medical fields. Paige provides individual, couples, EMDR, and family counseling services to the clients served at Synergy Recovery Center. She also facilitates education classes on trauma, mindfulness, relationship issues, parenting, and self-esteem.
Ann Koetting is the Clinical Director at Synergy Recovery Center. She provides individual, family, and group therapy, and is available for EMDR and trauma counseling. Ann has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Counseling both from Missouri State University. Ann has worked in the field of addictions since 2007 as both a counselor and the Clinical Advisor at Alternative Opportunities Treatment Services. Ann worked at Missouri State University as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Department for 5 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is EMDR certified.
Rhonda Ferguson is the Clinical Supervisor at Synergy Recovery Center. She offers individual, group, couples, and family therapy and facilitates education classes on trauma and various other topics. Rhonda is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Board Certified Counselor, and a Level Two Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor who holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University. She worked for five years at Preferred Family Healthcare Treatment Services, as a counselor with women in addiction and mental health treatment and later as the Clinical Supervisor. Prior to joining the mental health and substance use treatment field, Rhonda earned an undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Education from Missouri State University, has a background in curriculum design and instruction and taught adolescents in the public school and therapeutic boarding school setting for seven years.
Leea is the Medical Director for Synergy Recovery Center. Leea has over 30 years of experience in the medical field and is a Family Practice Physician with Ozarks Community Hospital since 2005 practicing in the Springfield area. She is also a staff physician for Americare Ravenwood Assisted Living/ Memory Unit and Clinic Researcher at QPS Biokinetics. Leea has also previously worked at Cox Hospital, Lakeland Regional Hospital, and Epic/Columbia Hospital of the Ozarks. Leea received a BS in Biology from Truman State University, and her Doctor of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Leea is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and Board Certified by American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice.family therapy and facilitates education classes on trauma and various other topics. Jessica Reed is the Lead Residential Assistant at Synergy Recovery Center. Jessica is certified as a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist through the Missouri Credentialing Board and as a Level I Medication Aide. Jessica is a person in long term recovery from drugs and alcohol. She teaches the 12-step study class introducing clients to the 12-step program. Jessica has a passion for women seeking recovery and through experience is able to help guide clients during this process of self-discovery and healing.
Marla Harman is a Counselor at Synergy Recovery Center, offering individual, couples, EMDR, family and group therapy, and facilitates education classes on Trauma, CBT, Codependency, and healthy relationships. Marla holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a level two Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has worked in the Mental Health/Substance abuse field for the past 6 years, most recently as a counselor at Preferred Family Healthcare working with the Greene County Drug Court program. Prior to working in the Mental Health/Substance Use field, Marla earned a Master’s of Education degree in Recreation/Leisure Studies Management from the University of Arkansas and worked for the Springfield-Greene County Park Board for 18 years.
Kristin is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counselor at Synergy Recovery Center. She facilitates psychoeducation and process groups in both self-esteem and codependency and is available for EMDR therapy, individual counseling, couples, and family therapy. Kristin is a licensed professional counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, earning her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling degree at Missouri State University, with certifications in conflict resolution and micro-level focused trauma. She has experience working with women and families in addiction recovery since 2014, completing a graduate assistantship as Family Group Conference Facilitator through a partnership with The Center for Dispute Resolution and Preferred Family Healthcare. Kristin traveled abroad in Brazil studying Somaesthetics (body-mind therapeutic approach), in Europe, and attended the International Person-Centered Counseling Conference in both Argentina (2014) and New York (2016).
Community Support Specialist
Heather Myers is the Community Support Specialist at Synergy Recovery Center. Heather assists our clients with meeting their after-care needs while in residential treatment, ensuring that our clients have the support they need within the community to lead a happier and healthier lifestyle. Heather has three years of experience working in substance abuse recovery and is licensed as a Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II and a Level I Medication Aide. Heather has a close family history of substance abuse, leading to her passion for assisting women in their recovery.
Kristal is a part-time counselor at Synergy Recovery Center. She has her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University, is a licensed professional counselor, and a Level II Recognized Associate Substance Abuse Counselor. She has experience working with women in addiction and mental health. Kristal facilitates group education classes, group counseling, and provides individual counseling services to the clients. Kristal currently facilitates weekly Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) classes as well as group therapy
Mark Koetting, PhD, RASAC-II
Mark G. Koetting is a full-time Counselor and Recognized Associate Substance Abuse Counselor at Synergy Counseling Center. He teaches weekly education classes on co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis, at Synergy Recovery Center. In 2002, Mark earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where he received specialized training in forensic psychology, as well as psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. As a licensed psychologist, he co-founded the San Francisco Forensic Institute, contracted with the California Department of Mental Health, and maintained a private practice in the Bay Area for 11 years. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating individuals with substance-related disorders and serious mental illness.
Jen Savage is a Counselor at Synergy Counseling Center, and facilitates weekly grief and loss education classes and group therapy at Synergy recovery Center. Jen studied American Sign Language at Texas Tech University and received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Evangel University. Jen worked as a substance abuse counselor for 4 years at Alternative Opportunities Treatment Services, as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Midwest Assessment and Psychotherapy Solutions (MAPS), and as an adjunct professor at Missouri State University and Ozarks Technical College for 2 years before moving over to Synergy.
Andy is a part-time substance abuse counselor and teaches two classes at Synergy, the Brain and Addiction along with Sobriety Maintenance. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Physics from Drury University in Springfield, MO, and is a licensed Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor – II. Along with his education, Andy spent time at Yale in their Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit examining the functional connectivity of patients and healthy controls. In addition to his role at Synergy, Andy is a substance abuse counselor at Correction Services and teaches the Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program classes through the Missouri DMH. Through his years of experience in recovery and expertise in the neuroscience of addiction, he assists clients in recognizing the true nature of their disease and its treatment.
Mattracea Wendleton is a counselor at Synergy Counseling Center providing individual, family, and couples’ therapy. She earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in 2017 and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Mattracea has experience working with children, teens, and young adults. She has specialized knowledge and passion for working with those who struggle with self-harming and self-destructive behaviors. She works with parents to provide support and create stronger and healthier relationships with their child(ren).
Jessica Wood is the Billing Specialist at Synergy Recovery Center and Synergy Counseling Center. She coordinates client intakes, insurance benefits, insurance billing, and is a SMART Recovery facilitator. Jessica has a nursing degree from Cox College and worked in critical care which allowed her to find her passion for patient advocacy and compassion for families experiencing some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Julie is a nurse on staff at Synergy Recovery Center. Julie completes an initial health assessment for our clients and is available to assist with any health care or health screening needs. She became a Registered Nurse in 2011 and currently works part-time at the Mercy Orthopedic Hospital. Julie also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management.
Dan facilitates weekly SMART recovery meetings at both the residential treatment home and the outpatient treatment location. Dan trained as a SMART recovery facilitator in California and brings his knowledge and experience to Synergy Recovery Center.
Wendy Maynard is our Personal Chef. She works hard to ensure that our clients receive healthy, wholesome, well-balanced meals to aid in their recovery process. Originally from Naugatuck, CT, Wendy’s food service experience began at Stratton Ski Resort in Vermont and most recently here in Missouri, she worked for Oppa Food Management and YMCA Camp Wakonda.
Tenille Neff, MS, LCAT, ATR-BC, LP
Tenille Neff is a New York State licensed, registered, board certified Creative Arts Therapist, Psychoanalyst and an Arkansas State licensed Professional Counselor Ms. Neff is also a working artist who has participated in national and international art exhibits. Ms. Neff specializes in trauma treatment, depression, anxiety, anger management, and substance abuse. In 2013, Ms. Neff moved to Branson Missouri from New York City and started a local private practice.
Natalie Wlodarczyk, PhD, MT-BC
Dr. Natalie Wlodarczyk is board certified as a Music Therapist Her primary areas of clinical expertise are music therapy in hospice and bereavement. She will provide music therapy to the clients at Synergy Recovery Center. Prior to her doctoral work, Dr. Wlodarczyk was the Music Therapy Clinical Training Director at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida. She currently is an Assistant Professor/Music Therapist at Drury University.
Denise BischofRY, RPYT, RRT
Rebecca Chrestman provides acupuncture for our client’s at Synergy Recovery Center. She has been practicing acupuncture and herbs since 2003. Rebecca graduated from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in 2002 with a Masters of Oriental Medicine. She is a Diplomate in Acupuncture & Herbs and she earned her Doctorate in New Mexico in 2003.
Brandy Hickman is the owner of 2BWell. Brandy offers nutritional classes at Synergy Recovery Center. Driven by the desire to help people meet their potential and soar, Brandy is a true visionary with a strong community presence. Brandy is certified in exercise physiology and Jazzercise and has an extensive background in nutrition, women’s health, mental health, and the central nervous system.
