Synergy Resource Center is staffed with professional, licensed clinicians, with small caseloads to allow for individualized attention and detailed treatment plans to meet each client’s specific needs and ensure you get the care you deserve.
We specialize in substance abuse treatment and mental health issues. A registered nurse will provide initial health assessments and health education, including medicated assisted treatment options, will coordinate necessary referrals and medical appointments, and will be responsible for monitoring and distributing prescribed medications.

Bio
Ann Koetting is the Clinical Director at Synergy Executive. She provides individual, family, and group therapy, and is available for EMDR and trauma counseling. Ann has an undergraduate degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Counseling both from Missouri State University. Ann has worked in the field of addictions since 2007 as both a counselor and the Clinical Advisor at Alternative Opportunities Treatment Services. Ann worked at Missouri State University as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Department for 5 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and is EMDR certified.
Codie Jordan Vassar, MD Medical Director

Dr. Codie Jordan Vassar is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. He maintains an active practice across multiple states through both in-person and telehealth platforms. He earned his Medical Degree (MD) from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2017. He also holds a B.S. in Biology and Mathematics and an M.S. in Clinical Informatics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Vassar is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Cindy is a psychiatric nurse practitioner for Synergy. She has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, working in a variety of settings. She is a dual certified Advanced Practice Nurse, completing her degrees from the University of Kansas in 2013 and University of Central Missouri in 2009. She is board certified in Family Mental Health and General Family Practice, providing advanced practice care for the past nine years. Cindy has a sincere interest in her work and for helping others. Cindy received Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2012 in the Four States Business Journal.

Jessica Reed is the Lead Residential Assistant at Synergy Recovery Center. Jessica is certified as a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist through the Missouri Credentialing Board and as a Level I Medication Aide. Jessica is a person in long term recovery from drugs and alcohol. She teaches the 12-step study class introducing clients to the 12-step program. Jessica has a passion for women seeking recovery and through experience is able to help guide clients during this process of self-discovery and healing.
Jennifer Qureshi, LMSW

Jennifer is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience in both substance use and mental health treatment across inpatient and outpatient settings. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Stephens College and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Jennifer provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy, using a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. At Synergy Recovery Center, Jennifer facilitates weekly educational groups focused on Co-Dependency and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supporting clients in developing insight, emotional regulation skills, and healthier patterns in relationships.

Tia is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling. She believes clients can come to therapy exactly as they are, without judgment. Her relational, down-to-earth approach is rooted in compassion, acceptance, and trust. She specializes in working with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and judicial system involvement. Tia utilizes trauma-informed care, EMDR, and a strengths-based approach to help clients reconnect with their sense of self, worth, and direction. She is passionate about reducing fear and stigma around therapy and creating a safe, empowering space where healing and meaningful change can occur.

Julie Peterie is the Community Support Specialist at Synergy Recovery Center. Julie received her degree in Social Work from Missouri State University and has been working in the Springfield area community for the past 20 years. Julie assists the clients in identifying and meeting their wants, needs, and goals within their community as they transition into the next phase of their recovery.

Mark is a group facilitator at Synergy Executive and teaches a weekly class on co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis. In 2002, Mark earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where he received specialized training in forensic psychology, as well as psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. He co-founded the San Francisco Forensic Institute, contracted with the California Department of Mental Health, and maintained a private practice in the Bay Area for 11 years. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating individuals with substance-related disorders and serious mental illness.

Natalie Wlodarczyk, Ph.D., MT-BC is an Associate Professor and Director of Music Therapy at Drury University where she has taught since 2010. She is a practicing board-certified music therapist and published researcher with expertise in the areas of aging, grief and loss, and mental health settings. Dr. Wlodarczyk is also certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) music therapy for premature infants and is the founder and director of the Drury Intergenerational Rock Band, pairing college students with older adult to rehearse popular music while improving cross-age attitudes and promoting positive views of aging. She has provided weekly music therapy services at Synergy since the first week we opened in 2015.

Tenille Neff is a New York State licensed, registered, board certified Creative Arts Therapist, Psychoanalyst and an Arkansas State licensed Professional Counselor Ms. Neff is also a working artist who has participated in national and international art exhibits. Ms. Neff specializes in trauma treatment, depression, anxiety, anger management, and substance abuse. In 2013, Ms. Neff moved to Branson Missouri from New York City and started a local private practice.

Linda has been working with clients at Synergy Recovery Center since it’s opening in August of 2015. Linda is originally from Rochester, NY and relocated to Springfield Missouri where she has worked in screening printing, as a sign painter, muralist, pin-striper and graphic artist. Linda established her own studio in 2009, “Moon City Arts”, where she continues to do sculpting, painting, and graphic designing. She currently services as a Board Member for Moon City Creative District and the Springfield Art Museum. Linda teaches clients to hand build with clay, which allows clients another therapeutic modality of being present, having fun, and working through emotions.

Erin Beussink obtained her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) certification from Teach to Inspire Yoga Education Center in 2012. Since that time, she has had the opportunity to teach in a variety of styles and settings. Erin’s goal is to provide an accessible, non-intimidating environment that allows each participant to discover how the practice of yoga can best serve them and their well-being. Her classes center around grounding, presence, internal focus, and self compassion.

Denise Bischof inspires to help others relieve the tensions and stress of modern life through the healing powers of yoga. She is certified through Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the level of RYT500 and as a Relax and Renew Trainer through internationally recognized teacher Judith Lasater. Denise has a compassionate and insightful teaching style that inspires others to connect to their own source of wellbeing and inner peace. By bringing her own life experiences and depth of knowledge about yoga therapies and nutrition into the yoga studio, Denise creates an environment that allows her students to find balance in their lives, on and off the mat.
